![]() I did try this myself, and got a message, “access denied” (Bob) ![]() You type ‘msiexec /regserver’ from a command prompt? You may have a problem with Windows MSI installer. I did find an old post on the Reflect website, if it means something to anybody, it was for the same error, unable to install services, it goes as follows :. Hi everyone, sorry been away for a while, hopefully got the crisis sorted, still no luck with installing Reflect, did try V4 but same result, unable to install services, I did download the security tab installer, but I had a warning window that it was not compatible with my windows version, as I don’t have a backup at the moment, and no Windows disc, (was pre-installed), am reluctant to try and install it. if it stalls …follow the error message to the folder and take “Ownership ” of it and file that the error specified. and give “full control” to yourself and “administrator” accounts.ĥ. Click on Security Tab, and make sure that you set yourself as owner. Re-Boot and right click on the Macrium Reflect icon, and choose properties… you now should see the “Security Tab”Ĥ. So when you right click properties on any file folder you can see it. ![]() Follow post #19 to install the “Security Tab”. Boot PC into safe mode (F-8) before the windows loading screen…(Nothing to do with right clicking on C: drive)Ģ. Thanks for the update, still not getting anywhere, did try going into safe mode, right click on C drive and select security, then every user, allow full control in permissions, clicked advance and un-checked box for replace permission entries on child objects, re-booted, and you guessed it, still the same, will not install servicesġ. ![]()
